Utilizing video streaming technology, the events could also be watched live on cable and web streams in Hudson, Exeter, Nashua, Merrimack, Keene, and Concord. This considerably expanded the potential viewing audience, offering New Hampshire an unbiased community platform to hear directly from candidates who could represent citizens in Concord and Washington.
The congressional event featured Democratic hopefuls Maggie Goodlander and Colin Van Ostern, along with Lily Tang Williams and Vikram Mansharamani from the Republican ticket. Questions were asked by Bernard W. Campbell, an assistant town moderator and history teacher in Salem and Attorney Leeann Brooks also from Salem and a member of the Government Affairs Committee. Questions focused around business but also the wellbeing of the state issues that impact all residents. The moderator was Bernard H. Campbell, Esq. of Salem and a Government Affairs Committee member.
For the gubernatorial forum, Democratic candidates Jon Kiper, Cinde Warmington, and Joyce Craig took the stage followed by Republican candidate Chuck Morse. Republican candidate Kelly Ayotte declined an invitation to appear. Questioners for this forum were Southern New Hampshire Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Board Robyn Sweeney-Glickel and AnnMarie Timmins, Senior Reporter for the New Hampshire Bulletin. Bernard W. Campbell served as moderator.
Being in a school facility and sharing resources, Salem Community Television and Salem School District Media were able to create a professional quality production for the Southern New Hampshire Chamber of Commerce and make it available to a large portion of the state. The production also involved students from the Career and Technical Education TV and Media class at Salem High School. Having a state-of-the-art production facility allows students to have access to cutting-edge technologies which aid in preparation for future career plans. The original media center opened in 1971 in the current location.
