It was a very special day for Salem resident Mary Tatoyian, age 103, as she was honored with the Boston Post Cane Award, recognizing her as one of Salem’s oldest residents on 9/1/26

Mary currently resides at Salemhaven, but she has been a longtime resident of Salem, NH, for many decades. Those who have known Mary over the years fondly remembers her mowing her own lawn, well into her 90s—a wonderful testament to her independence and spirit!

The Boston Post Cane was presented to Mary by Town Councilor Bob Bryant and Trina Reed of the Salem NH Ingram Senior Center. Salemhaven helped everyone celebrate the event with pastry, coffee, juice and fellowship.
