The Town is pleased to report that three Municipal Services Deputy Directors have completed the NH Bureau of Education’s Supervisors Academy program. This includes Deputy Director – Utilities Fred Wallace, Deputy Director – DPW Geoff Benson and Director of Engineering John Klipfel.

The program’s mission is to Foster Excellence in Public Service Through Training and Professional Development. The eight-week academy featured a series of lectures, readings, and activities. Participants were taught to strengthen the critical supervisory skills needed to maximize individual and team performance, manage conflict, balance workloads, maintain a civil and respectful work environment, develop individual staff, and make informed decisions.

Congratulations to each for their work in the program and ongoing professional development. Thank you for your contribution to Salem!
