Town of Salem, NH

In an effort to enhance employee appreciation, the Town of Salem has launched an Employee of the Month Recognition Program. The Town is thrilled to announce that Elder Affairs Officer Shalyn Spencer has been named our June Employee of the Month!

Shalyn brings heart, compassion, and creativity to everything she does. From organizing programs like Walk With Us Wednesdays to building strong partnerships across departments, her work has a real, lasting impact on the lives of Salem’s older residents and their families. She takes a truly holistic approach to elder care—always focused on making people feel seen, supported, and connected. And on top of all that, she’s constantly learning and growing in her role.

Please join us in congratulating Officer Spencer and thanking her for the energy and dedication she brings to our community every day.

Great work, Shalyn—we appreciate you!
