Spring has sprung in Salem along with its Spring Recreational Programs! Adaptive Track and Field started Thursday, April 25 where individuals of all abilities will develop physical fitness, self-confidence, and social connections through athletic participation. This Program is coached by local volunteers and the Recreation Coordinator, Juliann Isabelle.

In addition to Adaptive Track and Field, the spring session of Dance Aerobics and Tap has begun on Monday and Thursday nights taught by Marie Cammarata. The Tap Dance program offers a new class on Monday nights for beginners. Additionally, the Spring Tennis Sessions offered for both Youth and Adult learners taught by Molly Radcliffe and Tim Newell started last Saturday with summer sessions in the works!

We are also looking forward to the start of Intro to Track for kids ages 5 to 8 years old along with the Annual Fishing Derby hosted on May 4th at Hedgehog Park! Also on May 4th is the Town Wide Yard Sale, with the Spring Craft Fair hosted the following weekend on May 11!

Keep an eye out for the Summer Brochure of Recreational Programs, coming in May! You can find updates regarding the launch of new programming on the Community Services Department Facebook page, we are loving #SpringInSalem !
