Salem Police Department Has A New Patch Design

Town of Salem, NH

The Salem Police Department has been working closely with the Salem High School CTE Graphic and Digital Design program, taught by Kristen Deveau, to come up with a unique design that reflects Salem.

After several students submitted their designs, they were voted on and Steven DeCesare (class of 23’) was the winner!

The new patch reflects Veteran’s Park in the Salem Town Common, located at the intersection of Main St and Bridge St. This is in the “Historic District” and is where the earliest settlement of Salem is, with the old Town Hall (est. 1738), Fire House, Library, and historic common also in the area.

This patch honors our veterans and acknowledges our history and we couldn’t be more thankful for Steven’s design and hard work, and Kristen Deveau’s willingness to help out and involve her students in our new design.

We will be sporting these new patches on our uniforms by 2025 and have already began rolling them out. We will, of course, be keeping our original patch on our Class A uniforms to pay homage to our past and the history of our Police Department.

We would like to thank the entire class of Graphic and Digital Design at Salem CTE, Kristen Deveau, and of course, the brains and creativity of the operation, Steven DeCesare!
