The 2026 State Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, with polls open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Salem residents are reminded that the Town’s voting districts and polling locations have changed. Voters should confirm their assigned polling location before heading to the polls on Election Day.
The polling locations for the State Primary Election are:
- District 1: Woodbury Middle School, 206 Main Street
- District 2: North Salem Elementary School, 140 Zion Hill Road
- District 3: Fisk School, 14 Main Street
- District 4: Barron School, 55 Butler Street

The sample ballots are also available on the Town’s Elections webpage. Voters are encouraged to review the appropriate sample ballot before Election Day to become familiar with the candidates and ballot format.
