The Town is pleased to congratulate three first responders with their assistance in delivering a newborn baby in Windham!   Firefighter/AEMT Thomas Muise, Firefighter/Paramedic Dylan Ferguson and Firefighter/AEMT Kasey Hartmann, all from Salem Fire and Windham Firefighter/AEMT CJ Lundergan were recognized by the Windham Board of Selectmen for their exemplary response.  A call came in to Windham for a possible childbirth.  Due to calls already in progress, Salem was requested to the scene.

A Salem ambulance and medic unit arrived and determined that delivery was imminent.  Responders set up for a home birth and within minutes, a newborn baby girl was delivered!  Once birth was completed, the new family was transported to Elliot Hospital in Manchester.

This Monday, the responders were invited to meet the family again, including the new baby girl they delivered to the world, and her big brother.

Congratulations to every one involved!  We are proud of what you did and glad to have you working for us.
