Town of Salem, NH

The Town of Salem, in conjunction with the New Hampshire Department of Business and Economic Affairs (NH BEA), hosted a public informational meeting on January 20, 2026, focused on the Economic Revitalization Zone (ERZ) program. The meeting provided local businesses with an overview of the program, a brief presentation, and an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about available state tax credit opportunities.

Salem currently has four designated Economic Revitalization Zones, shown on the map above:

  • I-93 Corridor ERZ
  • Mixed Use Commercial ERZ
  • Northeastern Boulevard ERZ
  • Garabedian Drive ERZ

Businesses physically located within one of these designated zones may be eligible to apply for state tax credits through the ERZ program. The program is designed to encourage business growth, private investment, and job creation within targeted areas of the community.

Important Deadline
Applications for the current ERZ cycle are due by February 10.

If your business is located within one of the ERZ boundaries, the Town encourages you to explore this opportunity and determine whether your project may qualify for state tax credits.
