New connections were made over coffee on Friday, March 27, 2026, as the Salem Police Department and Caffè Nero hosted a “Coffee with a Cop” event at The Mall at Rockingham Park.

Community members stopped by throughout the morning to meet officers, ask questions, and engage in casual conversations in a friendly and welcoming environment. The event provided a simple yet meaningful opportunity for residents and officers to connect outside of their usual day-to-day interactions.

The Salem Police Department expressed gratitude to everyone who attended and contributed to making the event a positive experience, as well as to Caffè Nero for hosting.

There were some memorable moments, including the opportunity to meet young visitors who may one day become future officers of the Salem Police Department.

“Coffee with a Cop” events are designed to foster stronger relationships between law enforcement and the community through open dialogue and personal connections.
