In an effort to enhance employee appreciation, the Town of Salem has launched an Employee of the Month Recognition Program. The Town is thrilled to announce that Maria Augeri has been named our January Employee of the Month!

Maria serves as the Senior Activities and Volunteer Coordinator at the Ingram Senior Center, where she consistently demonstrates outstanding customer service and dedication to our senior residents.

Maria’s patience and attentiveness to each senior make a lasting impact, and she regularly goes above and beyond to ensure they are well cared for. Whether stepping in during key moments to provide support or offering a listening ear, Maria’s efforts truly reflect her commitment to those she serves. Her collaborative nature was especially evident during Winter Fest, where she worked seamlessly with the Recreation Division to create a memorable event for the entire community. Maria’s support for her coworkers and her dedication to the success of the team is unwavering.

In addition to her teamwork, Maria’s creativity shines through in the many engaging activities she organizes. One standout example is the “Around the World” program, which gives our seniors the opportunity to explore and experience global cultures. Maria is also deeply committed to the well-being of our seniors, handling sensitive situations with care and working closely with the Senior Resource Officer to provide the necessary assistance. With her ability to balance daily activities and support her team, Maria is undoubtedly an invaluable asset to the Community Services Department.

Please join us in congratulating Maria Augeri for this well-deserved recognition. Thank you, Maria, for your outstanding service and for making such a positive impact on everyone around you.
