Find something incorrect on your property? Did you get rid of that old pool but forgot to tell us? Think your value is not correct for the current market?  Assessments are calculated once a year and the window to notify of errors or omissions from last year’s cycle is rapidly closing.

To correct any misinformation on your property, as reported in last year’s records, you can find an Abatement Form Online HERE or at the Assessing Department’s Office at Town Hall (33 Geremonty Drive Salem, NH 03079) .

More information on abatements can be found here:
https://www.salemnh.gov/160/Abatement

Abatement forms must be postmarked or dropped off by March 1, 2024, per State of NH law. After reviewing the abatement, the Assessing Department will call to set up an appointment to look at your property, if necessary.

Per State of NH deadlines, the Town will respond to property owners regarding their abatements and the decision on or before July 1, 2024.
