The Town of Salem will launch its 2026 Resident Survey during the first week of February, with the survey remaining open throughout the month to allow residents ample time to participate.

The survey is designed to gather community feedback on a wide range of topics that help inform Town planning and decision-making. Residents are invited to share their perspectives on issues including:

  • Overall satisfaction with Town services and operations
  • Major challenges facing the community
  • Budget priorities and trade-offs
  • Importance of Town services and capital needs
  • Communication methods and effectiveness
  • Quality-of-life considerations and Salem’s long-term outlook

In addition to rating and ranking questions, the survey includes open-ended questions, giving residents the opportunity to share ideas, suggestions, and feedback in their own words. Demographic questions are also included to help ensure responses reflect a broad cross-section of the Salem community.

Survey results will be reviewed by Town staff and shared with the Town Council to help guide future discussions related to budgeting, capital planning, service delivery, and community engagement initiatives.

Residents are encouraged to participate, as community feedback plays an important role in shaping decisions and priorities for the Town moving forward.

Additional details on how to participate will be shared once the survey opens.
