Town of Salem, NH

The Town of Salem is exploring the possibility of establishing a food truck pilot program at the Town owned parking lot on Main Street, located across from the former Tuscan Kitchen.

The proposed program is currently in the discussion and planning process. No dates, vendors, or operating guidelines have been finalized at this time.

If approved, the pilot program would provide an additional dining option for residents and visitors while creating an opportunity for local and regional food vendors to do business in Salem. The pilot would also allow the Town to evaluate community interest and operational considerations before determining whether food trucks could become a recurring seasonal offering at the location.

Participating vendors would be required to obtain all applicable permits, licenses, and inspections before operating. Vendors would also need to provide appropriate insurance coverage naming the Town as an additional insured and comply with any other requirements established for the program.

The Town has already begun receiving inquiries about the proposed program. Vendors may contact the Town Manager’s Office to express interest, but participation and scheduling cannot be confirmed while the proposal remains under review.

Additional information will be shared with the public as it becomes available.
