Street sweeping is scheduled to begin the week of April 13, 2026, and will continue throughout the summer.

Crews will start with Salem’s main roads before moving through subdivisions across town. Most main roads are swept at night, so residents and motorists are encouraged to remain alert for equipment operating after dark. Some main roads will also be swept during the day, which may cause temporary traffic delays. Drivers are asked to be patient as this work is completed.

Street sweeping is an important part of keeping Salem clean and well maintained. It also plays a role in the Town’s MS4 permit requirements by helping reduce pollutants and protect local waterways.
