In an effort to enhance employee appreciation, the Town of Salem has launched an Employee of the Month Recognition Program. The Town is thrilled to announce that Police Lieutenant Robert “Bob” Genest has been named our September 2025 Employee of the Month!

Bob has gone above and beyond in his role as head of the Police Department’s Special Services Division. Even without a Sergeant in place for more than six months, he has continued to manage a wide range of responsibilities with dedication, professionalism, and a positive attitude. Whether it’s overseeing recruitment, expanding the department, or partnering on a new recruitment video, Bob is always willing to step up and get the job done.

What truly sets Bob apart, though, is the way he supports his colleagues. He is approachable, caring, and always willing to lend a hand—helping to create a positive and team-oriented environment across the department.

Please join us in congratulating Bob on this well-deserved recognition. His hard work, leadership, and commitment to the Town of Salem are deeply appreciated.
