Town of Salem, NH

In 2024 and 2025, the Salem Friendship & Garden Club (SFGC) and volunteers from the community put in significant efforts to help beautify the entrance to the Salem Town Forest. These donations, efforts, and work days made great strides in making the entrance a welcoming and inviting place. The Town Forest is an amazing community amenity that Salem residents can enjoy.

Volunteers from the SFGC, Salem VFW Post 8546, and Boy Scout Troop 267 helped provide maintenance, cleanup, and installation of plantings at the entrance. The Salem DPW also provided large stones and loam for the gardens. Members of the Salem Friendship & Garden Club presented this project to the Conservation Commission at their July 9, 2025 meeting. The Commission is grateful to all of those who contributed to this great project. View photos of the project below.
