The Town of Salem extends its sincere appreciation to the Salem Area Women’s Club for helping bring a festive and patriotic touch to the community in celebration of Independence Day and America’s 250th anniversary.

Members of the Club recently placed three dozen American flags throughout the Club’s garden along the Salem Rail Trail, as well as in the gardens at Salem Town Hall. The flags added a beautiful display of red, white, and blue for residents and visitors to enjoy throughout the holiday weekend.

The Salem Area Women’s Club also continues to care for and maintain its Rail Trail garden, with members sharing responsibility for tending the space throughout the season. Their time, teamwork, and dedication have helped keep the garden looking vibrant and welcoming.
