Almost time to make Summer memories!

Summer recreation registration kicked off on May 1, 2024.  While the programs include community favorites like Tennis & Adult Dance Aerobics and Tap, this year, we are offering the addition of Golf lessons and Kids Night Out.  Click here to view the whole list of programs.

The Youth Group Golf lessons allow children from 6-10 and 11-17 to learn the basics at the Atkinson Country Club’s Willow Creek Golf Academy. The lessons are taught by Willow Creek Golf Instructor, Brian Diamond and run for six weeks. Although equipment is not required, it is preferred. The registration on our MyRec Site for this program closes on May 28 and will waitlist after 8 registrants. If enough registrants hold a spot on the waitlist we will add another group to come experience Golf!

In addition to Youth Golf, The Recreation division is offering KIDS NIGHT OUT! This program is for ages 6-12 and provides an opportunity to play games, do a craft & eat some pizza! This also allows parents the opportunity for some much needed “me time” without the hassle of finding childcare elsewhere. The program will be supervised by Juliann Isabelle, the recreation coordinator who holds an associates degree in Elementary Education and formerly taught Pre-K for a number of years.

We are looking forward to making Summer Memories and encourage you to do the same by checking out the Community Services Department’s website for some fun!
