The Greater Salem Caregivers held their annual Volunteer Appreciation Brunch on June 17, 2026, at the historic Searles Castle. Executive Director Connie Young expressed heartfelt gratitude to the volunteers, noting, “The best part of this organization is you, the volunteers.” She highlighted that volunteers consistently show compassion and kindness—acts of courage that make clients feel supported and valued. Their dedication helps create a safer, stronger, and more compassionate community.

This year’s Volunteer of the Year, Mary Kobrenski, spoke about the joy she finds in caregiving. She shared that the greatest reward is seeing the smiles on her clients’ faces and knowing she can bring a bit of sunshine into their lives. She also extended her appreciation to all fellow Caregivers for their commitment and service.

Those interested in joining this meaningful mission are encouraged to call 603‑898‑2850 or visit salemcare.org to learn more about volunteering opportunities.
