The holiday season is back in Salem! The Holiday Parade will kick things off November 30 followed by the annual Salem Pride event, Carols & Cocoa at Salem High School on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 5:30 pm. This year’s event will feature holiday songs by the Select Elementary and Middle School Choruses, High School Advanced Chorus, a Christmas Medley by the Salem High School Marching Band, and a special preview of the upcoming musical, Disney’s The Little Mermaid.

After the band leads in Santa with the help of the Salem Fire Department, he will use a drop of magic to light the over 50’ tree in front of Town Hall containing over 5,500 lights!

The magical evening will include sing-alongs, photo opportunities with Santa and Mr. Grinch, costume characters, light displays, and of course, hot cocoa. Salem Police, Fire, Municipal Services, Claudio Arsenio and Student Transportation of America will be brining holiday decorated vehicles to enjoy. And don’t forget to bring your letter to Santa to put into the Salem Community Services mailbox which will overnight the letters to the North Pole.

A grand throne and backdrop provided by Canobie Lake Park makes for the perfect holiday picture with Santa, if the Grinch doesn’t steal it first! We also thank the Salem Exchange Club for providing live trees to decorate the stage, which will be donated to families following the event.

This community event is fun for all ages.

Follow Salem Pride online at Facebook.com/salemNHpride for updates.

We look forward to seeing you December 4 at 5:30pm.
