The Town of Salem, NH wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to Kelly Demers for his many years of dedicated service to the community.  Kelly recently retired from his position as Construction Maintenance Repair professional.  He was one of our longest serving employees.

Kelly was as a dedicated professional in many capacities throughout his 37+ years of service with the Town beginning with his appointment, in December of 1986, to the Mechanic position within the Fleet Division of the Department of Public Works.  After many successful years within the Fleet Maintenance division, transferred to the Streets Division of the DPW in 1994 where he served for another run as a Medium Equipment Operator. In 2002 Kelly pivoted once again when he became the Town’s Animal Control Officer, a position that continued to showcase Kelly’s dedication and commitment to the community.

After years of service as the ACO, in 2011 Kelly returned to the Municipal Services Streets Division of the DPW where he served until 2017.  In January 2017, Kelly transferred to the Town’s Water Treatment Plant where he served as the Construction Maintenance professional for many years and until his recent retirement.  Please join us in wishing Kelly all the best in his well-deserved retirement.

Thank you for your work and all you did throughout the years.  You will be missed!
