The Supervisors of the Checklist for the Town of Salem will be in session on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, to allow residents to register to vote or update their voter registration information. The session will take place from 7:00 to 7:30 p.m. on the lower level of Salem Town Hall, located at 33 Geremonty Drive, Salem, NH 03079.
During this session, Salem residents may register to vote, update existing voter information, and change party affiliation. Prospective voters must be 18 years of age and are required to present the appropriate documentation.
Residents registering to vote must provide:
- Photo identification, such as a driver’s license
- Proof of domicile (a driver’s license is acceptable)
- Proof of citizenship, which may include a birth certificate or United States passport
Naturalized citizens must present documented citizenship papers along with a United States passport.
The Town’s 2026 Deliberative Session will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in the Salem High School Auditorium. Residents must be registered voters in order to participate in the Deliberative Session.
The Town Clerk’s Office will also accept voter registrations during regular business hours up to 10 days prior to the Deliberative Session, which is January 20, 2026. Copies of the voter checklist are available for public review at Salem Town Hall and the Kelley Library.
Residents are encouraged to ensure their voter registration information is accurate ahead of the upcoming Deliberative Session.
