On April 8th, a bus full of hopeful Salem seniors visited Encore Boston Harbor. While some were happy to have had a nice day and break even, others left with more than just a huge smile on their face.

The group made a short stop on their way home at the park and ride in Tewksbury, MA to catch a glimpse of the solar eclipse. With glasses in hand, the group got off the bus and marveled at this phenomenon / cosmic event. Salem seniors will be returning to this beautiful casino on July 29th. Signups for the trip will begin on May 6th. To find out more information, visit the Ingram Senior Center!

Senior Services trips sell out very quickly. Bus 1 is already sold out on the Newport Playhouse, New London Barn Playhouse, and Gloucester harbor cruise trips, but the Senior Services division is currently taking names for a waitlist for a possible Bus 2.

You can always view our newsletter on the Town of Salem’s webpage under the Senior Services Division page https://www.salemnh.gov/416/Senior-Services-Division.

Don’t forget to visit the Off Broadway Thrift Shop inside the Ingram Senior Center which is open to the public Monday-Thursday, 9am-2:30pm and Friday 9am-2pm. Clean, smoke and mildew free donations (home décor, in-season clothing, shoes, jewelry, puzzles, softcover books) are always gratefully appreciated.
