At the September 24, 2024 Planning Board meeting, residents and Planning Board members were presented with plans for the ‘Live!’ Casino project proposed at the former Lord & Taylor site at The Mall at Rockingham Park. This project is a combined effort with Joe Faro, Sal Lupoli, and The Cordish Companies.

During their presentation, pictures of similar casinos projects in other malls and renderings of how the project would look in Salem were provided. These plans and pictures include both indoor and outdoor perspectives.

There was significant discussion about parking, traffic, and signage. Many people were present in the room to express their concerns and/or support for the project. At the end of the discussion and presentation, the casino project was continued to a future meeting meaning it will be brought up for discussion again at a future Planning Board meeting.
