NH September 2024 Primary Information – Salem Voting Locations, Registering to Vote, Absentee Ballot Requests, and Other Info!

The New Hampshire State Primary will be Tuesday, September 10th, 2024. Polls in Salem, NH will be open from 7 am to 7 pm at all 5 polling locations. Please find below several resources related to the upcoming election.

To find your polling location, please either visit this Official Inventory of Streets and Polling Places (PDF) or visit the Town’s interactive voting districts and polling locations map.

If you are not registered to vote, please visit the following FAQ page on the Town’s website on information on how to register to vote: FAQs • How do I register to vote? (salemnh.gov)

If you need to request an absentee ballot form for either the September 10, 2024 primary and/or November 5, 2024 general election, please view the following Absentee Ballot Request Form, fill it out, and return it to the Town Clerk’s Office per the instructions on the form.

As a reminder, in New Hampshire, party affiliation changes cannot be made within 90 days immediately preceding a primary election. Voters with a declared party will not be able to switch until after the September 10, 2024. If you are an undeclared voter, you may choose to vote in either the Republican or Democratic primary on September 10. Voters who are registered with either party may only vote in their respective primary on September 10. If you are unsure of your party affiliation, you may look it up on the NH Secretary of State’s Voter Information Lookup Tool.
