More Shenanigans at the Ingram Senior Center!

Everyone was Irish for the day when Salem’s Seniors celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with a party at the Irish Cottage in Methuen. Guests ate from a delicious buffet that included corned beef and cabbage, boiled onions, and carrots. For those without the Irish taste buds there was also Chicken Broccoli Alfredo. Dinner was followed with entertainment by Irish singer/storyteller Brian Corcoran. No shenanigans, just a fun filled day.

The Ingram Senior Center has so many more fun and amazing trips coming up. They include trying our hand at lady luck with a visit to the Encore Casino, Monday, April 8th, an afternoon of music and lunch to see a Beach Boys Tribute Show at Castleton on Thursday, April 25th, a fun filled day at the Newport Playhouse for a buffet, a play (the Cemetery Club) and a cabaret on Wednesday, May 29th, a trip to the New London Barn Playhouse to see Little Shop of Horrors with lunch at the always delicious Puritan Backroom on Friday, June 21st, and a gorgeous Gloucester harbor cruise with an incredible lobster bake on board on Wednesday, July 17th. Please see the trip flyers at the senior center or on our website for more details. Trips and events fill up quickly.

Space is still available for Bus 1 on the Encore and Beach Boys trips. Bus 1 is already sold out on the Newport Playhouse, New London Barn Playhouse, and Gloucester harbor cruise trips, but we are taking names for our waitlist for a possible Bus 2. More trips will be announced in the future.

You can always view the activities in the Senior Services Division newsletter.

Don’t forget to visit our Off Broadway Thrift Shop inside the Ingram Senior Center which is open to the public Monday-Thursday, 9am-2:30pm and Friday 9am-2pm. Clean, smoke and mildew free donations (home décor, in-season clothing, shoes, jewelry, puzzles, softcover books) are always gratefully appreciated.
