In an effort to enhance employee appreciation, the Town of Salem has launched an Employee of the Month Recognition Program. The Town is thrilled to announce that Amanda Mazerolle has been named our March Employee of the Month!
Amanda is the kind of person who goes above and beyond every day. Over the past two years, she’s tackled new challenges head-on, learned quickly, and performed her role with skill and dedication. One of the many ways she’s made an impact is by visiting the Senior Center annually to explain personal exemption requirements—an effort that has been incredibly well-received by our community.
Beyond that, Amanda has played a key role in reviewing exempt organizations and property eligibility assessments. Her deep understanding of personal exemption statutes has helped ensure fairness while also catching cases where exemptions were granted in error. And while juggling all of that, she’s still processing new applications every year!
What really stands out about Amanda is her forward-thinking approach. She’s taken the initiative to document her role in a detailed manual, making sure future team members have clear guidance. On top of that, she’s stepped up in a big way—helping manage Chief Assessor duties and organizing her schedule to keep things running smoothly.
Please join us in congratulating Amanda on this well-earned recognition! We are lucky to have her on our team, and grateful for all the hard work she puts in for Salem.
