Joe Devine Named as Salem’s Town Manager

Salem, NH – The Salem Town Council is pleased to officially announce the appointment of Joe Devine as the new Town Manager for the Town of Salem, New Hampshire. Joe Devine’s extensive background in municipal management, his strong leadership abilities, and his dedication to community-driven governance make him an exceptional fit for this role. The Town Council is confident that his leadership will guide Salem successfully in the years to come.

Town Council Chairman Joe Sweeney expressed his support for the decision, stating, “We are confident that Joe’s experience in municipal management, his leadership skills, and his commitment to community-driven governance will serve the Town of Salem exceptionally well. We look forward to working closely with Town Manager Joe Devine as we continue to move Salem forward while working productively for the people of Salem.”

Joe Devine has been serving the Town of Salem since 2022, initially as Assistant Town Manager, before transitioning to Interim Town Manager earlier this year. With his appointment as the permanent Town Manager, he brings continuity and a forward-looking vision to the role. In his statement, Devine shared his enthusiasm for the opportunity:

“I am honored and excited to be appointed as Salem’s Town Manager. Having served as both the Assistant Town Manager and Interim Town Manager, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with our dedicated staff and community, and I look forward to building on the progress we’ve made together. I’m grateful to the Town Council for their confidence in my leadership, and I’m committed to ensuring that Salem continues to thrive and remain a vibrant community for all residents. I’m eager to begin this new chapter and continue serving the people of Salem.”

With Joe Devine’s leadership, Salem will continue to focus on strategic planning, enhancing community engagement, and strengthening its local services. The Town Council and staff look forward to working together to advance Salem’s priorities and support the needs of its residents.
