Salem High School is celebrating the grand opening of Grant Field on Friday, November 1 with the Salem Blue Devils football team hosting the Concord Crimson Tide. The Ribbon cutting will be at 6:15 pm with invited guests, followed by the Senior Night ceremonies, including the Band and Guard performance at halftime. The public is invited to attend and details for the evening will be made available the week of the game.

Grant Field is located inside the synthetic track that was installed during the original Salem High School renovation and addition project. The synthetic field represents an upgrade from the previous natural grass field and will provide more available playing time, greater safety for players, and improved wear over time. Great care was taken to protect the track and other existing sports areas during the construction efforts.

The project was made possible with funding from a warrant article passed in March 2024, plus funds from school impact fees, district’s existing retained fund balance, and a community capital campaign.

Please join us for the ribbon cutting and enjoy a great night of football!
