Fun time for Salem Fire

This past week had some fun incidents at the Fire Station that added levity to our day.  When a call came in to rescue 6 ducklings from a catch basin, firefighters Kasey and Sean responded and were able to safely evacuate the whole family.  The ducklings were brought back to their mom in the woods, who could be heard calling for her missing chicks.  Thank you to the considerate resident who placed the call to help them, and thank you Salem Fire for always being there to answer the calls that come your way.

Salem Fire also was able to host an impromptu “stop-by” from a local preschool.  The children were on a field trip for ice cream before their visit.  What better way to top off the trip than to have a tour of our trucks?
